Julie Stevenson, Vice President

Business Partner Specialist – Lake Area Technical Institute

Julie Stevenson joined the team at Lake Area Technical College in July 2015 as the Foundation Director and moved into the role of Business Partner Specialist in 2017. Julie has worked in collegiate and healthcare marketing/public relations/foundation roles in Minnesota and South Dakota for more than 25 years. She has taught Political Science courses at the collegiate level for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system for 17+ years, both on campus and online; as well as for SDSU and Lake Area Tech. Julie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, a MS degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University and in Political Science from Fort Hays State University in Kansas.

Katie Washnok, Treasurer

Owner/Operator – Blackout Industries

Katie Wagner Washnok proudly considers all of South Dakota to be her hometown, having grown up across the state. Katie earned her professional education at the University of South Dakota, focusing in Political Science in education and early career accomplishments. Today, along with her husband James, Katie owns and operates several small businesses with focus in the custom motorcycle and manufacturing industry; Blackout Motors, Blackout Engraving, Adrenaline Supply Co. and Blackout Industries. Katie is also a community involvement enthusiast. She enjoys serving through many facets. Katie, along with husband James and their children Jett and Whitley, proudly reside in Aberdeen, SD.

Tracy Olson is the HR Officer for Avera Health serving the Aberdeen and Pierre regions. Tracy has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources. She holds a bachelor’s degree as a legal assistant, has the SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications and is currently working on her Master’s degree in business.

Carl Perry

District 3 Representative – South Dakota Legislature

Representative Carl Perry is a member of the South Dakota Legislature. He also is active with the New Life Fellowship Church where he has worked with Christian Business Men’s Committee Prayer Breakfast and has even recorded with the CCR Gospel Trio. Representative Perry is married to Sheryl Perry and has two sons, Jason and Travas. Throughout the years, Representative Perry has amassed several leadership roles and other awards like being the President of the Northern State University Foundation from 1999-2000 or receiving the AACC George Award in 2002. He continues to serve his community and state through his works in the State Legislature and the NESD AHEC Board of Directors.
